MALAGA GROUP WEATHER UPDATE Wednesday 22nd October 2014: Hello peeps!!!......Its to be another El Scorchio today before those temperatures start to relax tomorrow a tad, then a tad further Friday, then a tad further Saturday, then a tad further Sunday.....do we get the picture yet???......Back to today and a smallish warning for strong winds building later in the day and popping up almost anywhere!!!......We have some severe wind warnings elsewhere in Spain and some of that draft will blow through so lucky you if you dont have wind and if you do, WindEze does the job apparently!!!.......Regardless of what the temperatures are going to do, that sun is going to go the distance and stay to the end of the month.....or was until I said that!!!.....Seriously, we are experiencing some record breaking weather and that brings us to todays graphic which is a world wide view of the weather we have been experiencing as published by those great guys and girls over the pond at NOAA, the United States very own national weather service!!!......I think it is safe to add October to the end with the wording Warmest on Record.......well, for Spain at least!!!.......As it happens the jury is out on whether this month is really a record breaker but there has certainly been records broken.......my little daughter got hold of my vinyl singles the other day and broke a copy of Soft Cell Tainted Love.......It was a picture disc worth all of a quid (slang for 1 British pound!!!).......So, more heat, some cloud, wind.....smells like summer!!!......On a serious note, with the winds that are expected today the last thing we need to see is a wild fire. Its remarkably quiet on the fire front with only the odd piddly fire being reported from time to time by the Provincial Fire Service and with this heat and continuing sunshine we are heading back into the depths of high risk of fire.....In fact, if we dont get the expected weather turn at the beginning of next month we may see all hell let loose as the law banning bonfires finishes for the season at the end of the month......one to watch in case it gets extended!!!......Needless to say, if you see a fire call 1 1 2 straight away. Dont think for one minute that somebody else has made the call so you dont need to, make the call anyway......better safe than sorry!!!........Jim Fraser for the EiALERT NETWORK!!!
