MALAYSIA FLOODS DISPLACE 90,000; BIGGEST FLOOD EVACUEES IN NATIONS HISTORY The floods ravaging five states in Malaysia have displaced 90,250 people. It is the biggest number of flood evacuees in the nations history, National news agency of Malaysia, Bernama, reported. The highest number of flood evacuees are in Kelantan (32,343), followed by Terengganu (28,991), Pahang (24,316), Perak (4,335) and Perlis (265). The 102 local and foreign tourists stranded at Mutiara Taman Negara Resort got relief when the Fire and Rescue Department arrived with much needed food supplies. Apart from Malaysians, the tourists were from Germany, France, Canada and the Czech Republic. Bernama said that the park witnessed its highest rainfall on Tuesday since 1971.
