MALE Senior Residential Childcare Worker Horizon Care is an energetic, progressive and one of the most innovative providers of young peoples residential care in the UK, and provides the highest level of care by the use of the best resources available. We are looking to recruit a MALE Senior Residential Childcare Worker within our residential home in Stafford. Due to the needs of the young people they support at this home, these Residential Childcare Workers will need to be male. Successful candidates will be highly motivated to develop and maintain relationships with young people and their families and engage with local agencies and community. •Direct work with the residents including keyworking and generally taking an active part in their daily lives. •Contact and dialogue with Social Services personnel and outside agencies that have an involvement in the project or interest in its residents. •Taking responsibility for the welfare of the home with regard to health and safety and primary care issues, as well as making autonomous decisions about individual residents requests and behaviour whilst on shift. You will have previous experience of working with or caring for young people (10-16 years old) in small group residential settings. There will be opportunities for the right people to be involved in the continuing development of the homes standards and provisions of services. It is essential all candidates must • hold an OCF Level 3 Children and Young Peoples workforce • hold a full UK driving license • be over the age of 21 • Must be prepared to work 24 hour (including sleepovers) on a rota basis Successful applicants are required to provide an enhanced disclosure and satisfactory references.
