MANDELA WASHINGTON FELLOWSHIP - Our Welcome back reception: Attending an American university, having meetings with the President and Mrs. Obama, and experiencing a whole new world for six weeks. All these activities had a huge impact on the alumni of the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders. This was evident last week when South Africa’s 46 fellows were given a warm welcome back party at the Nelson Mandela Centre of Memory in Johannesburg. It was not just a reunion for the Fellows. It was also a great opportunity to meet with business owners, politicians, NGO representatives, and a wide variety of other guests. Expect great things from these Fellows in the future.
