MANIFESTO OF LOUIS NDUKWE TO THE GOOD PEOPLE OF OSHIMILI NORTH I LOUIS NDUKWE promise to consolidate on the human, capital and infrastructural development agenda of my party the PEOPLES DEMOCRATIC PARTY but i have some personal agenda for the good people of OSHIMILI NORTH if elected as chairman of the LGA. Some of my personal agenda include: 1. AGRICULTURAL REVOLUTION: Oshimili North is blessed with a vest landscape extending from AKWUKWU-IGBO, IBUSA, ILLAH, UGOBULU e.t.c. I hope to encourage the good people of Oshimili North to venture into mechanized farming and also provide micro-credit loans in order to boast the farming system and make OSHIMILI NORTH LGA the food basket of Delta State. 2. PUBLIC PRIVATE PARTNERSHIP: I promise to go into partnership with established industries for the processing of the agricultural products. I also hope to attract more banks to Oshimili north. 3. IMPROVEMENT OF THE MARKET SITUATION: It is a known fact that the only town that has a modern market in Oshimili North is Ibusa. My administration hopes to build more markets in AKWUWU-IGBO AND OKPANAM. These market will serve as a sales point for the goods produced and processed in the LGA. Example is a town like Okpanam shares common boundary with Asaba, we hope to get patronage for Okpanam market from people living in the state capital(ASABA) and from across the Niger(ONITSHA). 4. EMPLOYMENT OF THE YOUTHS AND YOUTH EMPOWERMENT: My administration have observed that there are so many unemployed youths across the LGA. I hope to get the youths meaningfully engaged by incorporating the youths to the industries to be attracted to the LGA, provide micro-credit loans for those who want to venture into Agriculture and other small-scale businesses. The LGA will set-up a committee/minitoring team that will monitor beneficiaries of the micro-credit and guide them to grow. 5. IMPROVING THE INTERNALLY GENERATED REVENUE(IGR): When the market situation in the LGA is improved it will boast the the economic situation thereby creating more revenue for the local government and therefore supplement the allocation given by the federal government. 6. CONSOLIDATE ON THE SECURITY SITUATION IN THE LGA: The administration hopes to work with security agencies such as NIGERIA POLICE FORCE(NPF), and community vigilantes to beef up the security situtation in the LGA. 7. CARRY THE TRADITIONAL RULERS ALONG: My administration will recognize the traditional rulers as the mouthpiece of the people. We hope to hold periodic meeting with the traditional rulers in OSHIMILI NORTH and also hold general town-hall meetings with the people of the LGA. I ask for your support for the position of the CHAIRMANSHIP OF OSHIMILI NORTH LGA ELECTION COME 25th OCTOBER 2014. MY PARTY IS PEOPLES DEMOCRATIC PARTY(PDP).
