MARCOS MAIDANA SAYS, A FIGHT AGAINST MANNY PACQUIAO MAKES A LOT OF SENSE IN 2015 Former WBA world welterweight champion Marcos René Maidana (35-5-0, 31KOs), would love to return to the ring in a major fight in 2015. Maidana is coming off back to back pay-per-view fights with Floyd Mayweather in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. Maidana lost a close twelve round majority decision in May and then lost a spirited twelve round unanimous decision in September. Manny Pacquiao is going to defend his WBO world welterweight title on November 22nd, against undefeated WBO world junior-welterweight champion Chris Algieri in Macau, China. Maidana says he would be very motivated to get in the ring against Pacquiao but also admits that some of his family members would like to see him retire from the sport. Pacquiao is the biggest thing for me after Mayweather, and it makes business sense to fight him. There is a desire to stage something here, but it would be very difficult to make a fight so big in Argentina, Maidana said. Regarding Maidanas last fight with Mayweather: He was very fast, he moved around the ring very well, but I still believe that I can beat him. We failed in reaching the objective, which was to win. Im very happy with what I did and because I trained very hard. I feel good to fight, and I think I can do it against anyone, but my family does not want me to continue fighting, so Im thinking about what I plan to do in the future. #Boxing #Boxeo #Mayweather #Pacquiao #Maidana
