MARK, LET’S GO TO THE OTHER SIDE Mark 4:35-41 – Jesus told his disciples, let us go over to the other side. A storm arose & threatened to drown them. Water was getting into their boat. Jesus was asleep in the boat. They woke him up in panic & Jesus said ‘Peace, be still’ & the storm ceased! It is time to go over to the other side. Jesus said let us go over to the other side. Jesus declares the end from the beginning. Jesus knew that they would have to go through a storm but still said lets go. The problem is that though He tells you the end He will often not tell you what you will have to go through to get there. He told Joseph he would rule but did not tell him he would go through the pit, Portiphar & prison. He told David he would be king but did not tell him he would be a fugitive 1st. He told Abraham he would be the father of nations but did not tell him he would endure barrenness for many years. He told Israel of the Promised Land but did not tell them of the giants in the land. He told Mark Omeiza Dauda he will be a great man but He never told me I will serve this long. WHY? 1. If we knew what we would go through many of us would not even start. 2. God sees the obstacles as inconsequential because Satan is already defeated. 3. He already knows the end of the story. We win! You win! Ladies and gentlemen, can I be honest to you guys? “I am ready to stay on the side of God and go through what I need to go through to become what He wanted me to be for His name sake”. What about you? But He said let us go over to the other side! Regardless of whatever you are going through… there is another side! Hahaha! You have to believe that there is another side. I don’t know what you are going through right now but there is another side! There is another side to your story: on the other side is glory. The purpose of the storm was to stop you from getting to the other side. You must outlast the storm to get to the other side. To get to the other side you must make sure you don’t let water into your boat. See you on the other side because am on my way. Glory Be To God JESUS IS LORD. HALLElUJAH
