Help celebrate by remembering and thanking the emergency services dispatchers that are the heart of public safety. Take a moment to discuss the importance of 9-1-1 with your families, how and when to call, and as always “WHEN IN DOUBT, MAKE THE CALL”. LANE STRIPPING, Sunday: The DOT will begin lane striping on Gulick Ave Sunday at 6 p.m. You can expect lane closures and delays. This project will be accomplished during the overnight hours for the next several nights to help ease with traffic congestion. BUILDING ENERGY CONSERVATION OFFICER (BECO) TRAINING, Thursday; April 22 & 24: The BECO program is a command driven energy directive per Energy Policy Letter, dated December 2011. Per the policy letter, trained and appointed BECOs are required to implement a viable energy conservation program. Three BECO training sessions have been scheduled for Thursday; April, 22, and April 24, from 9-11:30 a.m.in building 1190, Fort Stewart, Ga. At the training BECOs will be provided with valuable energy awareness and conservation information that will help perform their BECO duties effectively and assist Fort Stewart /HAAF achieving their energy and water reduction goals. Due to limited space, approximately 20 spaces per session, you are highly encouraged to register as early as you can to get the session desired. PRESCRIPTION DRUG TAKE BACK DAY, April 24: The FS-HAAF Army Substance Abuse Program in coordination with the Chatham County Office of the Drug Enforcement Agency will host a “Prescription Drug Take Back Day” April 24 between the hours of 10 a.m.- 4p.m. at the FS and HAAF Commissaries.
