MARRIAGE CRISIS? :( Know this: The lives of everyone involved are all uniquely and individually loved and valued. The present confusion and brief history represented in wrong and right, justified and not-justified choices can never distract from this. We have a fantastic advantage to be able to relocate ourselves mentally, to engage our thoughts with throne room realities and not with “soul room” realities! Col 3:1-3. There is an immediate perspective shift that floods our being with light and sanity and dispels any trace of darkness and confusion. The reasoning and judgments of the soul realm can be very fascinating and convincing as well as most exhausting! The place of rest is such a safe place to live from! Sabbath is an encounter that we are invited into, where the very reason God has to celebrate your perfection is the theme! To make any decision from the soul- rather than from the throne room can be a major distraction and prove very costly! I am not speaking duty-driven or guilt-driven law-language here! Pondering throne room thoughts inspires the highest and most desirable life possible! Deception would not be deception unless it has the ability to seem vey real and even incredible! Or should I say, very acceptable! The way that seems right to the earthly reasoning cannot begin to compare with the elevated highway that God has opened for us! Your most valid reference to your marriage is not how you felt in and out of love at times, not even discerning the positives and negatives of one another and scrutinizing your compatibility! There is absolutely no match to knowing ourselves and one another from God’s point of view! This is not make-belief, this is truth as it is in Christ! There is nothing wrong with your design or redemption! The knowledge of the truth about you as it is mirrored in Christ rescues us from the lies that we believed about ourselves! The most defining moment that we could ever participate in is to discover what Paul discovered in 2 Cor 5:14,16 & 17 He is not merely trying to do the polite thing by no longer knowing anyone according to the flesh! He has discovered by revelation that what Jesus redeemed in every person brings absolute closure and death to any other reasoning and judgment we may have had of ourselves or anyone else for that matter! Can you imagine how this powerful revelation can transform a dry predictable relationship into the most exciting romance possible? (beyond fantasy!) God has no intent to extend your marriage to punish you with more disappointment etc etc! He is in the reconciliation business! He specializes in making all things new! The best gift you can ever give your children is to discover a brand new love for their father/mother! Faith is not a chance you take! Faith is the safest most exciting adventure of living life to the full; this is what Jesus is the author and finisher of! Our indifference and even hostility did not distract from the extravagance of the Fathers love! He brought hostility to an end! I dare you to re-discover your love for your partner from Gods point of view! He is the engineer of the romance of the ages! 2 Cor 4:8 We often feel completely hemmed in on every side but our inner space remains unrestricted; when there seems to be no way out, we escape within! 4:18 We are not keeping any score of what seems so obvious to the senses on the surface, it is fleeting and irrelevant; it is the unseen eternal realm within us that has our full attention and captivates our gaze!
