MARVELOUS MARLIN NEEDS NEW LEASH ON LIFE. "Very good companion, my best friend during a crisis,” wrote Marlin’s owner when surrendering him to the shelter back on 9/19. The owner continued, “I have been trying to move into a new home and sneak him in, as the landlords do not allow pets. They caught me and now I have to give him up. I have been rotating him back and forth between friends and family. I do not want to stress him out anymore.” Yikes! Did Marlin’s owner realize this poor senior kitty was being given up to a kill shelter? Talk about stress for poor 14 year old Marlin who was a faithful friend to his purr-son for the past 12 years. Despite being a precious pet in peril, Marlin scored an impressive 7-average behavior rating. The poor kitty has been losing weight and it might have been nice if his former owner took him to a competent vet rather than dump him at the ACC. But at this point, this friendly fella needs us to go to bat for him. Marlin is used to being a housecat and would surely love to snuggle up beside you.
