MASTER LIMITED PARTNERSHIPS (MLPs): Couple days ago we sold car to a buy who is investment advisor, and he told me to stay away from MLPs; but could not provide reason. As you know, the MLPs want down for no reason; well that reason was fear that the MLP profits will go down because Crude Oil prices are tanking. The (updated) chart below shows that the crude started tanking in summer (June 20, 2014). I kept saying that they are wrong. Well our index ETF, MLPL turned up pretty dramatically (at least for now). So this morning i sat down and looked at 10 of the largest companies included in the index. all show continuing increases in dividend per share = no negative impact on the MLPs because of the crude oil price drops.
