MATCHDAY TRAVEL NEWS: DISRUPTION ON SOUTH WEST TRAINS -========================================= Supporters heading to Stamford Bridge for Sundays game with Southampton may find the following information useful. On National Rail, there is serious disruption on South West Trains. Some lines between London Waterloo and Clapham Junction and all South West Trains lines in the Kingston and Wimbledon areas will be closed all day for track renewals. No trains will run between London Waterloo and Wimbledon, Woking, Chessington South, Hampton Court and Strawberry Hill. Buses will run between Clapham Junction and Surbiton, Chessington South, Effingham Junction, Hampton Court and Weybridge. Trains will run between Raynes Park and Dorking/Guildford via Epsom. Passengers should use replacement bus services between Clapham Junction and Raynes Park or Southern train services between Clapham Junction and Epsom. Meanwhile, Berrylands station will be closed. Trains between London Waterloo and Shepperton will run via Richmond instead of via Wimbledon, while Kingston Loop trains will be replaced by buses between Clapham Junction and Strawberry Hill or Twickenham via Wimbledon and Kingston. Journey times will be extended by at least 30 minutes. We recommend that you allow plenty of extra time to get to Stamford Bridge, and check the National Rail journey planner before you travel. On London Overground, there is no service between Clapham Junction and Kensington Olympia. The Overground is also closed between Clapham Junction and Highbury & Islington via New Cross. Those supporters using the London Underground should note that the Waterloo and City line remains shut on Sundays. There is a good service predicted on all other lines, although we advise you to check your route prior to departure through Transport for London. Supporters travelling to the game by car, please be advised that there are no planned roadworks in and around the area of the stadium. However, please check your route prior to departure through either the AA or RAC websites. If you are travelling to the match by car, please remember Chelseas Liftshare Scheme, which allows those supporters with room in their vehicle to give a fellow Blue a lift to the game.
