MATH LESSON for free: The two places in town that sell mulch sell it for $15 a scoop. People think they are getting it by the yard. I personally measured one of the scoops and it is 1/3 of a yard, therefore a yard of mulch costs $45. If you bought 13 and 1/2 bags of 2 cubic feet mulch from Walmart you would have a yard. The Fly lumber yard in Oakland sells mulch (not ground down to dirt either) for $14 a yard and they use a 3 yard bucket to fill your trailer. A cubic yard is a cube that is 3 feet tall, 3 feet wide and 3 feet deep. The bed of a Ford Ranger will not hold a yard of mulch leveled with the top of the side rails. FYI
