MATHS SUBJECT TEACHER VACANCY PERSON SPECIFICATION A growing primary school within Lekki Phase 1, Lagos is currently looking for an enthusiastic and conscientious candidateis looking to take up the role of Maths Subject Teacher. Qualifications A minimum of a university degree (or its equivalent), preferably in statistics or mathematics. Nationally recognised teaching qualification (NCE, PGCE, PGDE) Knowledge, Understanding and Expectations Knowledge and understanding of working with children across the primary range Knowledge and understanding of the Nigerian and British primary curriculum Knowledge of current educational developments. Experience At least eight (8) years’ experience working in a similar role. Ability to make assessments, keep records and produce reports on all pupils. Demonstrate ability to use data analysis effectively to contribute to school improvement. Ability to develop and enhance the teaching practice of others. Personal Qualities Ability to be an excellent class teacher Ability to work positively and effectively as part of a team. A commitment to working collaboratively with parents Ability to manage challenging behaviour Excellent written and presentational skills Proven good attendance record.
