The France defender, 31, is leaving the Gunners on a free transfer and Louis van Gaal wants him to replace Rafael. • Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is looking to sign Toulouses 21-year-old full-back Serge Aurier as a replacement for Sagna. • Swanseas Ivory Coast striker Wilfried Bony, 25, who scored 16 league goals this season, is also wanted by Arsenal. • Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini believes the £20m signing of Portos Brazilian midfielder Fernando, 26, will be key to the clubs Champions League challenge next season.
