MAY I SMILE AFTER THE ATTACK Job 42:10-17 The book of Job, draws our attention to the fact that satan can attack ones fortune. The prayers of Job was that God should make him smile again.During the attack,his sons and daughters died in one day, his oxen and asses were attacked by the Sabeans, Job 1:15.Fire from heaven burnt his sheep and the servants Job 1:17.The Chaldeans also carried his camels away and killed his servants. From the story of Job, we should be aware that satan can lunch attack on ones life,ones finances, ones property,ones children, the work of your hands and on your family. There are many people whose business, finances or career are under attack.Many people who were doing very well before now are suffering because of satans attack. When your finances are under attack, nothing works.That means, all the effort you put end up being in futile. Job suffered not because he had no knowledge of financial management, but was suffering from satans attacks. What is important about this story is that God is a God that can restore our fortune again.God can restore anything we have lost. In Job 42:10 - After Job had prayed for his friends, the Lord gave Job as twice as much as he had before. Friends who deserted him came back.Those who ran away came to comfort him and each gave him a piece of money, and every one an earring of gold. Job 42:12-13 says So the Lord blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning, for he had fourteen thousand sheep,six thousand camels and a thousand yoke of oxen and a thousand she asses. He also had seven sons and three daughters. God is our God even in times of suffering. The goodnews is that we should be able to smile again. I pray that God will do this for you in Jesus name.
