MAYBE YOU NEED TO REPENT AGAIN, AND AGAIN, AND AGAIN...AND - TopicsExpress

MAYBE YOU NEED TO REPENT AGAIN, AND AGAIN, AND AGAIN...AND AGAIN.............................................................. WHAT you say - Im saved, sanctified and filled with the Holy Ghost, and that with a mighty burning fire. OK. But do you ever think its appropriate to REPENT again in your walk with the Lord? Is repentance just a one time deal? Or is it a spiritual practice that should be part of our regular walk with Jesus? Whenever we are confronted or challenged by the Kingdom of God, what is the proper response? REPENT!!! Im not saying that you are continually on the verge of losing your salvation. Goodness no. But the Greek for REPENT is META-NOEO. It means to change ones mind or purpose - to stop going in one direction and to go in the other. It is to perceive, understand and consider where you are at, and changes you need to make to go another direction. When we are reading, studying and meditating in the Word of God, arent there times that you sense the Scriptures are almost RE-EVANGELIZING you? The revelation of an aspect of the Kingdom combined with the conviction of the Holy Spirit causes you to only have one conclusion - you have to REPENT - you have to change your mind about where youre at, and where you need to go in relationship to that Scripture. Thats what Im talking about concerning repenting. Being open to continually allowing the Word of God to renew our minds, and transform our lives to become more like Jesus. I have been walking with the Lord a little over 37 years now. And I am still continually challenged by the Word of the King regarding His Kingdom and my relationship to the King and His Kingdom. And my response today had to be the same as it was over 3 decades ago - I have to repent - I have to change my mind in order to the let the power of the Word change me. We are on an incredible spiritual journey with Jesus in His Kingdom. In order to stay fresh and flourishing and anointed with fresh oil (Psalm 92) in your journey, you have to be willing to allow the Word of the King to always challenge you to repent. That way your wineskin will always stay soft and pliable to receive the new wine of the Spirit, and not rigid with tradition and religion. I wonder if anyone would say an AMEN to this?
