MBBC Thursday Night Ride Bulges and friends, It will be great riding tonight! There is a pace for just about everyone. If you like to go fast with some sprint zones thrown in. We have less than a month until we start getting slammed with all the local T-shirt rides. Ride for Heroes, Muenster Metric Century and Lancaster to name a few. The best thing you can do to improve your ride is to get outside and ride. Ride a lot. Is that nice ride of yours working properly? When is the last time your baby had a tune up, new chain, bar tape, cables, hubs cleaned. Tonights Ride: We will start from Colonels Bicycles and Times Ten Cellars Fort Worth with wheels rolling at 5:30 pm. We will also start from the Hoffbrau/Woodshed Trail head with wheels rolling at 5:45 pm. If the group is larger than 12 riders. We will take an alternate route that will by pass the trail. This will help us to avoid the crowded trail and potential mishaps on our way out to Benbrook Lake. I would like for everyone to be more observant to everyone we are riding with. Lets try not to let anyone get dropped. Lets try to finish knowing that everyone is going to safely make it back or is at least accounted for. The stronger more experienced riders need to try and assist and encourage the newer riders to our sport and club. This is a group ride, not a race. Lets try to keep the group together and wait for the riders who may fall off our line at the usual regroup points. Dont be a Jack Ass. We are all advocates of cycling and stewards of the trail. Obey all traffic laws and use proper cycling etiquette. Be courteous and mindful to all others who are sharing the trails with us. Join us for dinner after the ride at Times Ten Cellars Fort Worth.
