The safety awards will be presented at the Safety Awards Luncheon on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at Prairie Meadows Event and Conference Center in Altoona. Here’s a quick description of the awards: Outstanding Company Achievement Awards In its 10th year, this award is presented by IOSHA and MBI to a general contractor and a specialty contractor for their significant achievements in workplace safety. Safety Professional Award In its 2nd year, this award is presented to an individual who leads their company safety program and is responsible to see that all components mesh together to produce the end result of eliminating hazards in the workplace. This award spotlights the most dedicated and innovative safety professionals and their achievements in safety, both within their company and in the construction industry. Safety Champion Award In its 2nd year, this award is presented to an individual who stands out on the jobsite for their commitment to the goal of high performing safety and whose efforts have had a substantial impact on the overall safety of the jobsite.
