MBOMBELA – Since last Monday two large abnormal-load trucks from Hydra-Arc have been travelling from Secunda to Phola (Hazyview) to deliver two water tanks. According to Mr Albertus Haman, logistics coordinator of Martinet Project Logistics, they are travelling at a mere 10 kilometres per hour. One tank weighs 52 tons and is about 22 metres long. One of the drivers, Mr Joe Baartmann, has been a truck driver for over 48 years and finds this trip to be very normal. They hope to reach Phola by Wednesday.
