MCAs PLAN TO OUST ASSEMBLY SPEAKER Kabarnet By Joshua Chesire All eyes will be at Baringo County Assembly this week as the Members of the Assembly plan to impeach the over ‘misappropriation of funds’ and ‘unfairness’. Sources privy to Baringo county news revealed that a section of the assembly members are planning to impeach speaker Mr. William Kamket. “Following speakers’ unfairness during Public service board approval and the buying of the assembly vehicles that has prompted us to take this bold step of impeaching the speaker, “said one Mca who didn’t want to be named. It is alleged that the speaker used undisclosed amount of money to buy vehicles for the assembly without the consent of the house committee in charge of finance but he went ahead to procure the vehicles. A source told us there plans at advanced stages and soon they will bring a motion to impeach the speaker. Another section of the assembly members termed the allegations as propaganda and should not be given attention. If the plans sail through the assembly speaker will be on the spot and can face removal from the assembly by the members.
