MCP leading in Dedza YVONNIE SUNDU Unofficial results show that Malawi Congress Party (MCP) is leading in parliamentary votes as vote counting continues at Dedza Boma. Despite some of the results not yet at the tally centre, some constituencies have clear cut winners as results continue to trickle in. In Dedza East for instance, MCPs Juliana Mdavetsa Lunguzi is leading against incumbent Hyacintha Chikaonda of DPP in the five centres where vote counting is finished. In Dedza south, John Tembos anointed Patrick Themu is also leading with a majority of votes cast against former tourism minister, Moses Kunkuyu. However, some centres in the constituency including Mtiwe, Machesi, Kanyenda among others vote today due to irregularities yesterday. Other constituencies that MCP is leading include Dedza North, Dedza South West and Dedza West. Peoples Party runningmate Sosten Gwengwe is in a neck to neck battle with MCPs Daniel Chiwere as the former minister of trade and industry hangs on to a slender lead in two of the five centres counted.
