MEADOWS AND HAY WINS BILSTEIN MOD LITE STARS EAST NATIONALS For Immediate Release Media Contact: Lou Long (412-760-9755) Mercer, PA (September 20, 2013): 40 cars were registered and competed in the 14th Annual Little Guy Nationals at Mercer Raceway Park. Night one in the Bilstein STARS Modifed Lite National event which was a Mid-Atlantic STARS regional event saw Kenny Meadows holding off a persistent Alan Knepper for the victory. Meadows led the entire way, despite frequent caution ns and two red flags. Indeed, when the second complete stoppage came, the officials declared the race complete due to the time limit for the event. Rod Jones finished a close third. Jeff Teeters and George Englert were fourth and fifth, respectively. Braeden Dillinger, Ryan Saffell, Kevin Nicolino, track champion Shane Pfeuffer and Josh Baldwin took sixth through tenth. Lynn Knepper and Baldwin flipped during the race, but neither driver was injured. The preliminaries went to Teeters, Meadows, and Jones. On night two of the delayed Bilstein Nationals saw Mikey Hay scored the big win in the Bilstein Modified Lite STARS National Championship event, which was also presented by Big Daddy’s Speed Center and Rock Concrete. The Bilstein Modified Lite STARS National Championship event saw Mikey Hay dominate the race. Jeff Teeters’ second place run moved him to the top of the touring series point’s standings. Kenny Meadows, winner of night number one in this division, placed third. Mark Marcucci, a former track champion, placed fourth, which was good enough to gain a special performance award from Rock Concrete. Jeff Fornash ran fifth. Positions six through ten belonged to Rod Jones, who recovered from a mid-race spin, Josh Baldwin, Tyler Frankenberry, Ryan Saffeall, and Matt Cain.
