MEANNESS By Rabbi David Miller © October 2014 I’ve never understood mean people, In my years I’ve even seen… …them beneath a steeple. Whether anti-god…or pro-God… Meanness among normal people… …is behavior most odd. It is ultimate selfishness and narcissism, To ignore innocent pleas is egocentrism! Especially when a parent bully’s a child, Or a spouse looks at love’s labors… …and love becomes reviled. Mean people may even revile the Race? Maybe they even revile their own face? Whatever the reason… Whatever the season… You cannot ignore the curse or the fist, Meanness and evil need be removed like a cyst. It will destroy you… It will destroy whatever is true… So discover your backbone – young or old, If you don’t…meanness will take your soul. “The LORD enters into judgment with the elders and princes of His people, It is you who have devoured the vineyard; the plunder of the poor is in your houses. What do you mean by crushing My people, and grinding the face of the poor? Declares the Lord God of hosts.” – Isaiah 3:14-15
