MEDIA BIAS -- MORE OBVIOUS THAN YOU THINK Since the Jonathan Gruber scandal broke over a week ago I tried to point out to my liberal, progressive and Democrat friends that this story has been virtually ignored, even though it involved the architect of ObamaCare which when it is fully implemented, will control 1/6th of the US economy. Ive been told by some of you on the left that this is a non-story even though Gruber has called each and every one of us stupid. Then we watch Democrat after Democrat disavow any knowledge of Gruber, the most notorious being Nancy Pelosi. And we find out that Gruber, between the Federal governments and some of the states, has garnered more than $6million in consulting fees. To try to put this in perspective, looking at this simply as a media bias issue in a way that my leftist friends cant deny, I didnt need to go back to the previous Bush administration to find a comparable situation. No, I just needed to go back about a year to to the way that the MSM covered the Chris Christie BridgeGate scandal. The Bridgegate coverage was non-stop, for more than a week, weeks in the case of MSNBC, on all the MSM media outlets, on air and in print. Cindy Mann, Michael McHale, George Achorn and the rest of you, are you going to try to tell me that the Christie BridgeGate scandal deserved hundreds of times more coverage by the MSM than the fact that ObamaCare was passed by deception, concealing transparency by its architect? A regional scandal at best compared to legislation that will ultimately effect every American and control 1/6th of the US economy? What was the end result? No charges against Christie and at a time that in a projected head-to-head with Hillary Clinton in 2016, he was in a 45% to 45% dead heat. After BridgeGate Christie is lucky to break 20%. That shows the power of a biased, unrestrained MSM. Open your eyes my leftist friends. While you might detest Republicans and Conservatives, if youre honest, you cant say or believe that with few exceptions -- Fox News being the most notable -- the MSM leans left and that with all their combined power, makes it almost impossible for national Republican candidates, agendas and objectives to get a fair hearing. Want more proof? Just watch the presidents address tomorrow night as he stomps on the Constitution and its provisions of separation of powers, as he rams through his executive action on immigration. Watch as he basically gives a symbolic middle finger to the American electorate who totally repudiated his policies just two weeks ago and sent Democrat representatives in Congress and many governors into early retirements. For President Obama, elections seemingly have no consequences. While it will take time for me to pull the numbers but this story shows how two scandals were covered, Christies BridgeGate with Andrew Cuomos legal problems. Hundreds of stories on Christie, virtually none on Cuomo. As the major networks have given virtually no coverage to GruberGate, as General Patton was fond to say, even a blind man can see whats going on with the current situation with Jonathan Gruber.
