MEET JORDAN MABE My name is Jordan Mabe, and I’m currently in Advertising & Graphic Design planning on graduating this fall or next spring 2015. I’ve always had a passion for drawing; I won a drawing contest in 1st grade that sparked that passion. I used to doodle on the sides of my homework and papers and even tests all through my school years even though some teachers told me to stop. I started looking in to computer design in high school, and that’s when I decided what my college major would be. Here at Isothermal, I have learned more about computer design through classroom experience and real life projects. I started making CD covers for some local music artists, and from my designs getting exposure on the internet I’ve had a couple more artists from other states contact me about commissions. Since working in photography, I have found a new interest in the craft, and I’ve won a couple awards with my photos already. At the Portfolio Event, I’ll be exhibiting a collection of black & white film photography and color digital work including samples of my photo manipulation work. After graduation, I’d love to take my computer design skills and create vinyl wraps for cars and pretty much anything you can race. I’d love to create paint schemes for NASCAR, and I’d like to open up my own vinyl shop eventually. Photo by Carole Brooks
