MEET THE EVENTS TEAM 1. What makes Kabbalah Centre Events Team work successfully? Johnny – Diversity, we are all different Brette - We are passionate people Sarah - #Friendship 2. Describe your goals for the Centre’s events? Damien – To make them unique. Sarah – To create an aura of warmth. 3. What is the most important lesson you have learned while working as a team? EVERYONE – Letting go! Having no agenda and leaving yourself and your issues at the door. 4. If there is one thing you wanted everyone to know about the Events Team, what would it be? Johnny – We’re a really funny group of people. We always make each other laugh. Brette – We’re sort of like the high school art club! Damien – As a group, we are united, doing all the behind the scenes work. 6. Most memorable moment as an Events Team thus far? Damien – New Moon of Virgo 2014, creating the ‘Soul Under Construction’ theme. Brette – Inflating 350 balloons with only 1 tank of helium for the Chanukah Party 2013. Angela – The team coming to me during that Chanukah Party and telling me that everything will be ok. 7. How do you come up with the themes for the events? Damien – At the beginning of the meetings, Angela always brings in the book Days of Power by Rav Berg, which helps us see what the event is about, and to see the spiritual concept behind it. Once we connect to the Rav’s words, all the ideas start coming and the brainstorming begins. 8. Whats the dream wedding/event/holiday that you would love to plan? Brette – Angela’s wedding Sarah – Prom Johnny – Kabbalah Centre talent show Esther – An event in the middle of Central Park, with beautiful canopy, flowers, decoration. 9. If you could send one message to the world what would it be? Damien – Unity Johnny – Give back to what gives you strength. Sarah – Do everything from a place of love. 10. What is your occupation?
