****MEMBER QUESTION**** I was diagnosed with melanoma about a month ago. I have since then had the area removed. And now they are saying I am good to go. Just have skin checks every 6 months. My melanoma was 4mm x 1 mm thick. I know its not big but every thing i read makes me believe i should have more follow up. They just did a skin check, my mitotic rate was 1 and my tumor infiltrating lymphocytes was non brisk. I am just scared. I am 35 and have two young kids so I just want to make sure i am here for them. Am i over reacting or should i get a second opinon?They also would not give me a stage, they said they do not do that anymore.
