#MENTALITY 5. A chat with a friend yesterday, Abimbola Junaid, a developmental strategist was insightful. She said, Nigerians are nigeria problem. Our difficulties are not just policies but attitude towards implementation. Research said, 7 of 10 nigeria drivers DONT stop on zebra crossing or obey traffic light without the standing of a law enforcement agent. 1 of 50 student are willing and mostly encouraged to involve in examination malpractise. unreasonably, market women & transporters inflate price of product & service respectively The question of corruption and bad law seems to be what we clamor for. But our problem is attitude, ignorance towards advocacy and the greatest of all is MORAL BANKRUPTCY. We dont know and we dont make attempt to know. We want change but we are not an agent of change. Within our religious institution, family, friends and our small community group, we engage in financial corruption. So, who will activate the change? Bad leader is a reflection of bad followers who appointed him or her. It mirror what the society portray. It is not just the government that will do all. It start from you. It start from the moral code you inculcate into your behavior. It start from what the younger ones can learn from you. We can only have a better society if the change start from YOU. Be a role model of change. And the society will be a better place for you & i. BE EFFECTIVE. ADEKOYA, Rasak B. Broadcaster & assistive I.T expert. Bbm pin: 7A219A86.
