MERRY CHRISTMAS! So what is the meaning of Christmas? Friends: Christmas Eve is here once again, and I have to ask myself, “What does Christmas mean to me?” Of course, Christmas to us may mean many things,. But following are a few verses that came to me as a meditated on why Christ came in His great love for us. That love for you and me who are/were in an eternally lost sinful, condition with no hope, He has forever made a way of escape from eternal damnation, by becoming one of us, and then by letting Himself be sacrificed on our behalf as the spotless Lamb of God. He gave His life so that we, the whole world, may receive eternal life, if we can have the faith to believe and accept His work, and not to depend on our own best attempts that are but as stinking, dirty rags to His nostrils. (Isaiah 64:6a ¶ But we are all like an unclean thing, And all our righteousnesses are like filthy rags;) During this continuing Christmas season, my great desire is to witness many more of God’s created humanity in making their personal choice to trade their old life they were born with, for the new, born again, eternal life. (2 Corinthians 6: 1 We then, as workers together with Him also plead with you not to receive the grace of God in vain. 2 For He says: In an acceptable time I have heard you, And in the day of salvation I have helped you. Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.) May we let the Holy Spirit continue His work on you and me as chosen vessels, so that we can be His hands, feet, ears, mouth in being a blessing for His Kingdom. (Matthew 6:10 Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven.) I leave this question for you to ponder, “In which and what ways are you affecting God’s Kingdom?” John 1 : 11 He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. 12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: 13 who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. 14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. John 3 : 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. Luke 19 : 10 For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost. 1 Corinthians 1 : 30 But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God--and righteousness and sanctification and redemption-- Hebrews 13 12 Therefore Jesus also, that He might sanctify the people with His own blood, suffered outside the gate. 13 Therefore let us go forth to Him, outside the camp, bearing His reproach. 14 For here we have no continuing city, but we seek the one to come. 15 Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name. 2 Corinthians 5 : 20 Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christs behalf, be reconciled to God. 21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. _+_+_+_+ BLESSINGS IN ABUNDANCE TO YOU!
