MESSAGE FROM ANONYMOUS(GLOBAL) SELECTIVE SOLIDARITY If the dominant speech is what makes history... And history is marked and motivated by wars in search of money and power... More than reproduce, it is needed to think. The rise of populist and xenophobe movements in Europe is worrying. In Dresden, Germany, on December 15, approximately 15,000 people took part in a protest against an alleged islamization of the country. The march was organized by Pegida, a German acronym for Patriot Europeans Against the Islamization of the West. Arabs and muslims have already been accused by these streams of stealing the jobs of legitimate French or German people and of corrupting the original French and German cultures. The only thing left to convince their electorate was that there was also a terrorist threat within their territory by these same people. It seems that has been accomplished. We cannot blame an entire culture for the individual actions of fundamentalist and extremist fanatics. We cannot direct all guilt resulting from individual deeds on a minority already discriminated against and criminalized. We cannot even accept the official version of the facts immediately. It is always very important for those in power to write history, i.e., to dictate how and why events have occured. There are strong inconsistencies on the official narrative, and it is possible that the people whom we call terrorist are nothing but escape goats. The use of the I am Charlie slogan as a symbol of freedom of expression is controversial. High officials and chief of States who have committed acts of State terrorism were present at protests against terrorism. Obama, who condemned the deaths as being against freedom of expression has kept Barrett Brown in prison. Aaron Swartz was led to suicide because freedom of expression must prevail? How about the accidental death of Michael Hastings, when he investigated CIA crimes? Angela Merkel was also present at the Charlie solidarity protests. But where was she on the protests against neo-fascist group Pegida? Only now has she requested that the Pegida demonstration is cancelled. The unjustifiable and regretable attack to Charlie Hebdo has unleashed every kind of reaction in France and other European countries. With protests and xenophobic speeches getting stronger, mosques being set on fire by arsonists, muslim homes and businesses being attacked... All this is also a form of intolerance and discrimination, not only religious, but ethnic. We should not fight religious fundamentalism with traditional European fascism and nationalism. No war but class war!
