MESSENGER - have you lost your edge? If you’re trying to imitate someone else at the expense of your own exquisitely unique message, here are some SIDE EFFECTS you and your business are likely to experience: * EXHAUSTION or fatigue (treading water for years sure takes the wind out of your sails). * DEPRESSION (You doubt yourself then feel like a hypocrite because it’s not happening, then wonder if it will ever happen, which devolves to ‘I think I’ll go eat worms’) * MOOD SWINGS (you’re surrounded by eggshells and 10 foot barge poles). * SKIN RASHES (you become allergic to successful people and go out of your way to avoid them) * SALES CONSTIPATION (you have to push really hard and ain’t nothing coming out of it) * PARASITES (you attract tire kickers, energy suckers, complainers, cheapskates and trolls). * HEAVY BLEEDING (unnecessary marketing expenses drain your resources). * MEMORY LOSS (you can’t figure out how you got into this mess, and “Can someone remind me why I’m doing this ‘cos I sure as hell can’t”). * DEATH (your passion, your drive and your joy go belly up and you finally sink to the murky depths of ‘I’ll just have to go flip burgers I guess) Am I being dramatic? Tell me you haven’t experienced at least one of those side effects in the past few months if you’re still having a hard time getting out there. The antidote? GET REAL. Be you. That’s the only thing that’s going to set you apart, unless you want to be a commodity and compete solely on price. And that sure is an exhausting and unfulfilling path. The only true, and un-soul-destroying way to stand out and be seen and heard (without killing yourself in the process) is capitalize on YOU. People will forget the names of your programs and courses. But if you play your cards right, they won’t forget you. Go forth and INSPIRE!!!! Love, Rachel
