METAMORPHOSIS. (Excerpts from Devotionalbox-a daily Devotional by Dr. Isaiah and Lianna Wealth). 16th January,2015. TITLE: BE PROMPT TO DO TEXT: Genesis 22:3 “And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and saddled his ass, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son, and clave the wood for the burnt offering, and rose up, and went unto the place of which God had told him.” The plan and purposes of God also are crafted in time. It would be wise of us therefore to be prompt in carrying out His instructions so we would not miss out on the favours He has set in time for us. We can learn a great deal from the example of Abraham. God asked that he sacrifice his only son unto Him (Genesis 22:3.) And though God did not tell him the exact time to sacrifice, the Bible records that Abraham arose early the next morning to do what was instructed. God must have marvelled at his promptness and time-consciousness. Procrastination should have no place in you. When God speaks to you about a matter, set out to obey Him without delay. He has a favour awaiting you in time, and your prompt obedience to His voice would lead you straight into it. Are there outstanding tasks on your table? Resolve them now. Make up your mind to be prompt in doing whatever God would tell you to do today.
