DS Liow Tiong Lai: MAS takes responsibility to next-of-kin seriously. Once all next-of-kin has been contacted, the passenger manifest will be released. 3. DS Liow Tiong Lai: Ukraine government will be responsible for conduct of investigation and next of kin will be updated. Malaysia will be assisting. 4. DS Liow Tiong Lai: 40 staff from Malaysia will be flown to Amsterdam to support the affected families. 5. DS Liow Tiong Lai: The passengers - 173 from Netherlands , 44 from Malaysia, 34 from Australia, 12 from Indonesia, 9 from United Kingdom, 4 from Germany, 4 from Belgium, 3 from Philippines, 1 from Canada, 1 from New Zealand. 21 out of the 40 unidentified passengers have been verified. Passenger and cargo manifest will be released later. 6. DS Liow Tiong Lai: Malaysia condemns any attack on innocent civilians. The aircraft was carrying 298 passengers and crew 7. DS Liow Tiong Lai: The airspace that MH17 travelled on was unrestricted. European Airlines also used the same route. 15 out of 16 airlines in the Association of Asia Pacific Airlines fly this route over Ukraine. No last minute instructions were given to change flight route. 8. DS Liow Tiong Lai: The report about the MH17 black box has been found has yet to be verified. 9. DS Liow Tiong Lai: Unverified passengers were in transit and had not entered passport control in Amsterdam 10.
