You have just survived your first few weeks of high school, and now all your school work is catching up with you… Don’t worry, we have all been there. That is why link crew put together a study support team. Whether its math, science, English, history, language, or maybe even some encouragement, we have a leader to help you. Study sessions will take place during study period. Ask a teacher where you can sign up. Help is on the way! Seniors There is a MANDATORY Senior Class meeting this Wednesday, September 24th during Study Period in the PAC. You will receive important graduation information and vote on a few items - if you are not there you do not get to vote. Career Center College Visits for September: 25th - Washington State University 29 th - Northwest University October: 2nd - Trinity Lutheran College 7th - University of Washington @ Bothell 8th - Whitworth University Sign-up sheets are in the Career Center and Counseling Center’s. Juniors and Seniors: Need help getting into college? Come to College Workshops Wednesday’s after school in the Career Center. Topics include filling out applications, finding scholarships, researching college and financial aid. Financial Aid Night - October 28th at 6:30 pm in the PAC Veteran’s Day This years Veterans Day assembly is Thursday, November 6th. If you know a past Veteran or a current military person that would like to come to the assembly on November 6th and be honored for their service, please contact mhs.veterans@gmail. You can also send in pictures of a Veteran or current military person as well to mhs.veterans@gmail Activities/Clubs Flag Team WILL NOT meet after school today. We will only meet at Parade practice tonight from 6:30-8:00 Table Top Gaming Club: Late breaking news! The Table Top Gaming Club will be using some of the tables in the library to play games after school TODAY. Maybe 4 or 5 of them at the same time! Always on the top of the tables? Come join us. We will end around 4 PM Adventure Club: Do you like hiking around the great outdoors? Come to Adventure Club TODAY after school in room 802. We will be going over our last backpack trip and bring up our new hikes. See ya there adventurers! Key Club: Got community service? Bearcats are all about service. Join Key Club TODAY after school to learn about bearcat community service! There will be food! GSA: We are going to have a short meeting TODAY after school in room 508 to prepare for Homecoming! See you there! Anime Club: If you like anime, make sure you come to the Anime Club! We meet on Wednesday’s and Friday’s in room 606 until 4:00. We have great ideas of things to do this year, but they can’t happen if you don’t come. Art Club will be meeting in Mr. Gs room after school this Wednesday, September 24. Bring a friend, bring some art, bring some fun! SPORTS JV Tennis: The JV boys tennis team won their 1st match yesterday against Mariner. After 3 hard fought tie breakers, the team won 5-2. Congratuations!! Powder Puff: Ladies grab your pig skins and gentlemen grab your pom-poms because it’s time for powder puff football. Signups are this Wednesday, September 24th, across from the library after school. Sporting Events today: 5:15/5:15/7:00 - C/JV/V Volleyball at Snohomish. Bus leaves at 4:00. 3:30 - JV Boys Tennis at Lake Stevens; dismiss at 1:50, bus leaves at 2:00.
