MICHELANGELO ALBERTAZZI Albertazzi came back to Milan this - TopicsExpress

MICHELANGELO ALBERTAZZI Albertazzi came back to Milan this season in a strange way. When a player is co-owned by two clubs and they can’t come to an agreement on him, they go to a blind auction, also known as “going to the envelopes.” Each team puts an amount in an envelope blindly, and when the envelopes are opened, the highest bid wins the player. So Verona’s (who co-owned Albertazzi with Milan) bid was €375.000, and Milan’s was a cautious €501.000. Meaning Milan only wanted to spend €500.000, but just in case Verona also were willing to spend same amount, they added the single Euro and thats how Milan won final owning of Albertazzi. I know Albertazzi was fully owned by Milan now, but when I read about winning the blind auction I thought its free, maybe my understanding about auction was poor. But when my #Harkym_Bello_Olatunbosun comment on my post yesterday that Milan pay €500k for him I was confused then I did my research and I even found more to the blind auction than I bargain for. Knowledge is no mans land. #Forza_Harkym
