*****MIDWEEK WEATHER DISCUSSION/FORECAST***** HIGHLIGHTS: #1) Thursday (tomorrow) promises to be a true summer day of weather. As cold front approaches, HUMIDITY will increase rapidly, THUNDERSTORMS will develop, and TEMPERATURES will be quite warm (83-88) #2) Next to last "summer" weekend has potential to be just absolutely wondrous. I am actually looking to see IF there is anything that can ruin the weather for the weekend. #3) Next week, last full week of summer vacation, for many anyway, has a real "varied" look to it. Back and forth weather, as heat tries to come back from the southwest and a NW JET squishes it to the south. FORECAST: THURSDAY-partly sunny-hazy-very warm- and humid, with a decent chance of showers and storms developing during the early afternoon hours. While I do not see SEVERE storms, I can imagine some STRONG ones in spots. I will be watching RADAR/SATELLITE to keep you all in the know.....for sure. FRIDAY-becoming sunny, after some early clouds as front sails off the coast, MUCH DRIER but still WARM w/high temps in the 80-85 range. WEEKEND-FROM THIS VANTAGE POINT, I WILL GO WITH AN OPTIMISTIC FORECAST OF: PARTLY TO MOSTLY SUNNY AND PLEASANTLY WARM, WITH LOW HUMIDITY AND DAYTIME TEMPS IN THE 76-81 RANGE....wow!!!!! TROPICS: So far the tropics continue to be quiet. Again SOME signs that the area gets active later next week....we shall see. ****WATCH FOR STORMS TOMORROW BUT THEN ENJOY THREE GREAT DAYS OF WEATHER**** Tonights MAP/INFORMATION: It was right around now 23 years ago that one of the more destructive/intense hurricanes to hit anywhere on the mainland U.S.A. occurred. HIS name was ANDREW...and here is some information on that VERY-VERY-VERY bad boy that hit just south of Miami. nhc.noaa.gov/outreach/history/#hugo
