MILITARY COURTESY 1ST BLOCK OF INSTRUCTION How To Salute Properly Raise your right arm to shoulder level to a ninety degree level to the right side of your body. Bend your arm from the elbow at a forty-five degree angle toward your head in a crisp, snappy manner with all four fingers closed together, and your right thumb aligned alongside your right fore finger. Bring your salute to the tip of the visor of your headgear, or just above your right eye brow. move your hand forward in a sharp, crisp forward motion. After completing the salute, return your right arm sharply and crisply fully extended to a parallel position to the right side of your body. I guess that our President with no military background dont know this. I guess they didnt teach that at Harvard, and I reckon that the Joint- Chiefs of Staff, and his military cabinet have not briefed him on appropriate Code of Conduct for the nations military Commander-in-Chief. How can he descend the steps of Marine 1, with a styrofoam cup in his right hand, and not salute the two brave Marines that stood there flanking the left and right sides of the door of the helicopter at attention honoring and saluting him as he disembarked from the aircraft? Oh, I observe that he is left-handed when signing papers. This is not just for our current President, but for all who are elected to serve in that office. Respect & salute our American United States Service men and women. DISMISSED !
