MINORITY FRONT PRESS RELEASE: 07 March 2014 MINORITY FRONT ALL SET TO REPRESENT GAUTENG Far too long have minority communities in Gauteng tolerated inadequate and ineffective representation in the Gauteng Legislature, said Mrs S. Thakur-Rajbansi, Leader of the Minority Front (MF). Heeding the requests and impassionate plea’s for assistance from thousands Gauteng residents, Mrs Thakur-Rajbansi confirmed that the MF is set to contest the Gauteng Ballot in the 2014 Elections. We have a strong dedicated core team who have worked selflessly to setup structures and create an awareness in Gauteng said Mrs Rajbansi, she added that the MF is the third largest party in the Durban Metro and the fourth largest in KZN, the MF has proven track record in KZN and National and wants to do the same in Gauteng, giving all minority communities a fearless strong unified voice that will act fearlessly against all forms of oppression and discrimination. The high number of migrants from KZN to Gauteng makes the MF more relevant and necessary in Gauteng than ever before. After 20 years of democratic rule, the voter has become more discerning, said Mrs Rajbansi, and is no longer fooled by propaganda and big empty promises once every five years. Voters can identify with the MF, a party that understands their specific cultural and religious needs, amongst job and service delivery requirements. The late MF founder Mr A. Rajbansi had a rich long political history in Gauteng of service delivery and development of Lenasia, Fordsburg and Laudium. Mrs S. Thakur-Rajbansi is very eager to continue in his footsteps. The Gauteng candidates have been handpicked to give gender balance and personalities, who work hard to promote community and cultural activities in Gauteng, hence Mrs Rajbansi has confidence in them to represent the Gauteng people in the Legislature. Mrs Rajbansi urges all minorities to show their support for the MF on both ballots, ie. Gauteng and the National Assembly, on the 7th May 2014, so that Gauteng residents can also be part of “One Vision, One Future”.
