MISERY LOVES COMPANY The West is crumbling, empires like the US and Britain are becoming 21st century has-beens. The Age of Enlightenment lasted as a blip in history compared to Israel, China and India. Therefore, why on earth should the Jewish people listen to the threats, bluffs and demands of the West? Ist it time to seek strength from our own thinkers and revolutionaries. Dont we have our own great strengths and leadership to turn to for guidance and wisdom, such as Abraham, Moses, Simon Bar Kockba, and of course add to that the rich and brilliant writings and rulings of those such as Rashi , Rambam, Yosef Karo ,and my namesake, by marriage, Ha Arie aka Isaac Luria , the Vilna Gaon and the Chafetz Chaim. And then in the both century came the zionist movers and shakers, Theodore Herzl, Zeev Jabontisky, Max Nordeau.... these are our leaders. So called Western thinkers such as Kant, Goeth, Jefferson, Marx, Marcuse, are quickly fading in relevance along with their Western civilization, and its many wars colonialism, expansionism and grand imperialism. The problem is they want to take Israel with them. Misery loves company.
