MISHTORY OF RUNGTA PROJECTS Policy No. 51010044126500000255 with D.O.IV (Barrik Bhawan) I have unearth a peculier senario in General Insurance sector in Hindi Belt. All the Minor and local Construction companies and transportation firms sprung up in the Cow Belt are constrolled by Mafias which includes General transportation of Passangers. Being an ex-manager in a Public Sector bank who took VRS in the Year 2001 and switched to Insurance Survey work after obtaining IRDA License for Surveyor. While Working in Bank in the Patna Region, I came accross several Transport vehicle loans availed at gun point by several of these Mafia groups. Repayment were not forthcomming. However we were ragularly getting cheques issued by Insurance companies deposited in those accounts as payments for Insurance Claims. That means the beneficaries were not the payers in actual terms. I inquired it from one such mafia group as well as from employees of an Insurance Companies. What they said were identicle. False claims wewre made to the Insurace companies just my minor collision between two vehicles of the same group and lodged a huge claim. When the survey comes they were pampered with goodies and allso threatened to accept their aims as geneunie and thus the surveyor make reports as if these are genuine claims. This was a very site. This unholly nexus between is still prevailing. Surveyors are also finding to break out due to inherent fear tas these Mafias and mafias companies has the havit to lodge falswe complain claiming that the Surveyor has demanded money and other largasys. This is a regular phenomenon the the Hindi Belt. Recently I also tested such vagaries in one such assignment. Mr. Biplab Bhattacharys of New India assurance , Calcutta Claim Hub assigned me a job for survey of a damaged Volvo Tipper which was reported to have met with an accident. The Tipper was purchased under Hire Purchase agreement from Srei Infrastrure and Leasing Finance Ltd, Kolkata. The job was assigned on 17th may,2013 over phone. Subsequently hard copy with deputation oder was handed out on 20th May. I coulds purchase a sleeper class ticket online for 23rd may in Sakti Punj Express, which is the only train available from Howrah and this is the only train plys between Howrah and Renookuth in U.P. In the whole day. There is no other train,. The Return ticket was not available as the demand for ticket was heavy. I told them to obtain a return Ticket (Preferably in A.C) in Tathkal and I will be paying it when I reached there. As per there suggestion, I send my Pann card copy. However on 21st may, a new situation cropped upped. About a year and a half, I sold a garrage to one of the owner of a flat who stays just above me. He told me over phone from Delhi, where he is working as a general manager in a Power Sector company that lawyera has been fixed for registration of the property for 24th May,13. As a gesture, I decided to cancell my ticket for 23rd May, and told them that I have to cancell the ticket for 23rd may due to urgency without explaining the fact and asked them to purchase ticket for 3rd June and as well return ticket through their agents. I was oblivious of the danger larking waiting to happen as the group is a havitual history Sheet er while claiming false claims. I senced this will be a false claim immediately after talking with one jain who was reported to be their General Manager. After sending several emails for documents and talking over phone, I could pictured out the actual fact and hence as the demand required, an out-line of a survey report as prepared with lot of filling the gaps to be filled up after physical inspection. I was careful while gathering information. However mr jain, their general manager, sensed the danger when I asked for general Diary or any record available with the Kakri Coal mines Authority that such accident did happen. So what they did, they immediately on 21st May, bought a ticket for 3rd June,2013 and a return ticket for 4th June,13 without sencing that the train on 4th June will arrive at 11 a.m. Where as my schedule of arriving at Renookuth was 9 a.m. So the gap was only 2 hours, and the place of survey was 38 k.m. Away. I immediately told them to cancell the ticket for 4th may and purchased a ticket for 4th may and keep Money receipt for Rs. 532 being the cost of the ticket (to and fr). The insured senced an oppurtunity to thowart my arrival at Renukoot and pave the way for Mr. A.K Gupta (my name sake) from Banaras to the survey work. Latter I could pice together the actual motiff as I could make out that this A.K. Gupta has a unholy nexus with the insured and does all their survey work. Rungta Projects authority will not allow any other surveyor from Kolkata to do the survey work and on the slitest pretest they will compain and manufacture some story against the visting surveyor. This may be the reason why the fist Sureyor Mr. Indrajit Deb Roy who was originlly deputed to do the survey job refused the assignment. ( It may be one of the reason). Modus operendi to make payment to M/s Sreai Infrastructure and Leasing Ltd through this dubious way of colluding one vehicle with one of their own vehicle and lodge for huge claim irrelevant of the quantum of damage, not to forget that there are exclusions in the CPM policy which are not payable where the nature of components damaged which require frequent changes as the wear and tear of those parts were very high. This is a very pequinery situation in the Hindi belt, hundreads of crorres of Rupees are being drained out from the coffer of all general Insurance Conpanies due to these types of dubious dealings by these neferious companies or groups. The amount recommended by the Surveyor for the two claim lodged for two volvo Tippers purported damaged are worth Rs.5.50 lacs and 3.50 lacs respectively. The surveyor common in both cases.
