MISSION: 1) Neuter/ Spay and VACC 20 Dogs at a building construction site in Baku, 2) Rehome them, 3) Accepting financial assistance for medical expenses It takes a village to raise a dog! These pictures are taken at a current construction site in Baku, where the number of stray dogs has risen to 20 from the initial 1, over a course of 6 months! These dogs live on the construction site and are fed temporarily by some wonderful samaritans who are working on this project. They are basically left unharmed and allowed on the premises only until the project is complete. Once the building construction project completes, they WILL be kicked out by the authorities / Owners by whatever way they wish to do so. Hence, at this time our priorities are: 1) Spay and Neuter, 2) Re-home. Regarding the first priority of spaying and neutering, we are grateful and happy that with the invaluable help of AARC ( Azerbaijan Animal Rescue Center), which provides free sterilization for the stray animals of Baku, we are able to hopefully slow down the rapid population growth of unwanted dogs in this location. So, we are working with them to sterilize all these dogs and release them back to their original location. AARC graciously does not charge the cost of the sterilization operation, however, due to lack of space and resources, they need to charge for the 10-day hospitalization after surgery and vaccinations (at a special discount costs about 100 AZN per dog). Those of you who wish to help with these expenses, please let me know. A few of us have been taking care of these expenses personally, however as the numbers are increasing, additional SPONSORSHIP OF ANY OF THESE DOGS MEDICAL EXPENSES IS APPRECIATED AND ACCEPTED. Regarding the rehoming, please keep in mind that all these dogs are available for adoption to a good loving home. They are very human friendly, sweet natured, and starving of love and affection. They just require time and attention to be properly trained and made into a home pet. If you wish to ADOPT, please PM me. Thanks.
