MISSION STATEMENT FOR THE NATIONAL VISION As our people legitimately use their rightful search lights to redeem their battered and decapitated image, a diabolic consequence of divide and rule policy of the coloniser, the National Vision is the tool to sensitise, mobilise and orient the citizens for the new dawn. A people empowered with the right political education gain self consciousness, build the spiritual will power of assertiveness and become invulnerable against the dictates of foreign domination and alien rule. They become the engine and motive force of their own development, the creators of their progressive history and architects of their own destiny. Change, positive change most especially among a people held down by the dictates of colonialism and other forces of the reign of evil is brought about by access to the right information at the right time. This empowers the people. Our people are hungry and anxious to know the truth and our duty is to be at the service of our society and humanity for we live in a global village. We cover both home and international news. We are committed to defending and promoting the truth, social justice, freedom without which there can be no enduring peace for all mankind. We will forever stand against injustice wherever it raises its ugly head for it is an eternal enemy of man. It contradicts the Creator’s rhythm for the universe and it is opposed to God’s will for mankind. Where human freedom and justice abound man enjoys enduring peace and where truth reigns, there human progress flourishes to enhance the dignity of humankind. But where this is absent, those deprived of their fundamental rights, those who either by their colour, gender, origin of birth, culture or religion are made to exist in the backwoods of the society for the glory of the ruling class which has confiscated their right to self determination, by natural law and instinct the subjugated are bound to collectively rise in self defence for no people are created the under dog of others. This has been the history of humankind. God did not create others freemen or masters and others slaves or subhuman. No one will blame you for fighting for your rights. It is but legitimate, defended by natural justice and international law. Those who fight against injustice in society do God’s will. They are defenders and promoters of human dignity and excellence. They are the heroes of a new dawn and a better world for all mankind. For a future better than our ugly and distasteful past of the diabolic policy of divide and rule, yes the decades squandered in ruins and human decapitation, we must confront and defeat evil in all its manifestations. This is a matter of urgency. In this national enterprise for our political redemption there must be no disconnect between the educated elite and the peasant farmer, the economic elite and the job seeker in the slum, the student and the school drop out, Diaspora compatriots and those at home living daily under the dual pendulum of repression and naked exploitation. It is in solidarity and bonds of fraternity that we will self defeat, fear, and finally the enemy. We need each other for we are all victims of an evil system, tyranny, foreign domination and alien rule, rejected by civilised man. You are not safe, secured and free until hand in gloves and our hearts beaming with triumphal joy we all sing “FREEDOM LAND!” This is the Mission, REDEMPTIVE MISSION, of the NATIONAL VISION which is at the service of humanity.
