"MIT B.Tech ranked top in Marathwada and 10th in state" Aurangabad: City based Engineering Institution – Maharashtra Institute of Technology ( MIT ) which offers BTech courses with industry-ready contents has been ranked top in the region of Marathwada, 10th in state of Maharashtra and listed in Top 100 engineering institutions of India with 79th rank for the year 2013. The survey for ranking Top 100 engineering institutions from the thousands from India was done by Outlook magazine in partnership with MDRA ( Marketing & Development Research Associates ) on the parameters of Selection Process, Academic excellence and Personality development & industrial exposure , infrastructure and placement. The survey was amongst IITs, Govt Engineering colleges, NITs and Private engineering colleges. “It’s the result of consistent efforts made by experienced and dedicated faculty members, supporting staff towards the transformation of masses into internationally competent engineers. It is the success of students working in and abroad as engineers and professionals. It is the outcome of our hundreds of industry knowledge partners who provided our students the industrial exposure.” Expressed by Prof Munish Sharma, director general of MIT Group. He congratulated Principal Dr Santosh Bhosle, Vice-Principal Prof Vinay Chidri, HoDs and all colleagues for this special accomplishment. “The unique feature of BTech course is In-plant training ( IPT ) which is done in one full semester out of eight semesters. Hundreds of leading companies are associated with MIT for IPT. Majority of students get jobs during IPT only. MIT is only engineering institution in Marathwada which implements sandwich program thereby students are exposed to real-time engineering workplaces. It runs the special courses like Plastics and Polymer Engineering where students have 100% placement as well as they can run their own businesses.” Said Dr Santosh Bhosle, Principal, MIT - BTech.
