MK Avigdor Liberman, speaking today at the Knesset memorial service marking the 14th anniversary of the assassination of Rehavam (“Gandhi”) Zeevi, spoke to the legacy of the soldier and Minister whom he called his friend. MK Liberman quoted Gandhi, A weak Israel is perceived to be easy prey in the eyes of Arab rulers. Peace can be achieved and maintained only when we are strong, and the strength of a nation is not measured solely by the number of tanks, planes or military units.
