MLC inaugurates newly upgraded lanes, drains KATHUA, AUGUST 25- Member Legislative Council(MLC) Subash Gupta, inaugurated newly upgraded lanes and drains here at Rajpura. The up gradation of lanes and drains were completed at a cost of Rs. 2 lakh provided by MLC out his Constituency development Fund. The works includes two lanes and drains in refgugee basti Rajpura and platform of Peepal Tree. Addressing locals, Mr. Gupta appealed to the people not to dump debris in the lanes, drains. He said Government has framed a comprehensive plan for opening of new schools with adequate qualified staff within a distance of one-kilometer in every nook and corner of the State as a step towards universalization of education. He called upon the parents to send their wards to the schools to get education and become enlightened citizens. People of the area putforth their demands regarding Primary Health Centre, 250 KVA transformers, Tubewell and Hand pumps. Responding to the demands , Subash Gupta assures that all their remaining demands will be consider on priority basis.
