MLK had a dream. We all know that dream. I have a dream too, that one day, children with severe disabilities needs wont be forgotten after they graduate high school, so that they too, can go on with healthy, daily learning activities in establishments that dont reject them due to the severity of their disability or the lack of funding for their care. I envision a place where they can always feel welcome, where they can receive appropriate care, with nurses and special educators on staff, full time, with one on one help. I have a dream, that their god given, chosen parents will also receive help where they can also be able to participate in their care and carry on with jobs and their own successes. I envision an educational facility that helps children with less severe disabilities learn skills for gainful employment, and helps them function in society, that follows up with, and ensures, their successes. I too, have dreams for these beautiful people and their families.
