MLK had an approval rating of like 32%... and that probably registered high. It wasnt because the Klan was just that much bigger during his time. It was because people were frustrated about the rabble rousing, the closing down of streets for protests and marches, the calling on people to act now for justice and not sit back, and expect change to happen. He challenged wealth and the status quo. He proclaimed the Gospel, and frankly, it scared the shit out of most people.
