MOBILE (ANDROID) PROGRAMMING: LESSON 6 DEVELOPMENT Environmental Installation There are simply three options for installing your Android development environment: Option 1: Eclipse Plugin If you already have Eclipse installed on your computer and you wish to continue using it, then you can do so by installing the Android Eclipse Plugin from this address: developer.android/sdk/eclipse-adt.html. Option 2: Android Development Tools (ADT) Bundle The ADT Bundle is a complete package of Eclipse with Android Plugin and Android SDK with all the extra tools. So this is probably good option if you are starting from scratch. Just go to: developer.android/sdk/installing/bundle.html. Option 3: Android Studio This one includes every thing the ADT bundle includes. Android Studio is a new Android development environment based on IntelliJ IDEA. Similar to Eclipse with the ADT Plugin, Android Studio provides integrated Android developer tools for development and debugging. developer.android/sdk/installing/studio.html. IT IS ALSO POSSIBLE TO DEVELOP ANDROID APPLICATIONS USING YOUR PHONE WITH ANDROID OS. TO KNOW HOW, FOLLOW US IN OUR TOMORROW’S LESSON.
