MOI: KENYANS WANT DEVELOPMENT AND NOT NOISE Via #TheSTD Former President Daniel Moi has asked politicians who have been agitating for a referendum to back down and instead support calls for development by the Government. Speaking at Sacho High School, Baringo County, the retired President urged Kenyans and leaders not to be distracted by the referendum politics terming it as a waste of time and resources. He said it is ironical for people to begin thinking of another election just a year after the last general elections. We had the election a year ago and what else do we need if not development? We need to improve the lives of our people, not endless noises, Moi said. Moi, who was addressing students, parents and members of Sacho community during the 23rd baptismal ceremony at the school said he is optimistic the referendum campaigners will abandon the cause and give room to development. The former head of state, who gave out bibles to the 145 students, pupils and members of the community after they were baptised, took the opportunity to wish success all candidates across the country sitting for their national exam next month. He urged the candidates to study and prepare adequately to perform excellently when that time comes, saying that is the only way to succeed.
